President's Message

What a year we've had! There has been a whirlwind of activity around us with the BPW/USA Merger decision, electing a new minority President for the US, a stressed economy, and all of our other BPW and personal activities. Summer is on its way and hope every member has some plans to enjoy the season to relax and enjoy.

I will be attending our State Convention in Gettysburg later this week along with several other local members. I'm sure this convention will be one of the most interesting in a long time. Members who are attending the convention will have lots of information to share with you at our next meeting. We will also be installing our 2009-2010 local board June meeting. This will be a meeting you don't want to miss!

Next month is our Annual BPW/LV picnic. This year we will be having a Luau Picnic which will be fun for everyone. Numerous fun events are planned including Hula dancing and the Limbo. Members are asked to bring a Luau type side dish, ingredients and recipes for a tropical drink which may be alcoholic or non-alcoholic (blender & ice will be supplied), or bring a tropical dessert. As is our custom, guests are welcomed to join us for free.

Not only do we work hard to promote BPW throughout the year but we also know how to have a good time. Our annual picnic is a time to get together and socialize in a casual atmosphere and have a fun night out. If you loved our Casino picnic last year, you are sure to love our Luau! Don't forget to pull out your tropical clothing and join us!
